Solar Panel Roof Mounting
The solar panels are mounted to the roof via 4x rails, these require the slates to be lifted and rail hooks fitting directly to the roof rafters to insure a solid fixing. This modular system allows for the panels to be installed in portrait or landscape orientation and to fit any shape or size roof.
Solar Panel Connecting
The solar panels are lifted onto the roof, electrical connections are made to the adjacent panels and mounted one at a time and securely bolted down to the rails. This installation has used 8x 395w panels to make a total of a 3.16kW array. The panels used are high quality mono crystalline panels in a sleek all black finish.

Storage Battery Installation
The battery can be installed in many locations, including outside or in a loft. This 5kW battery is installed in the garage directly below the Solis inverter and stores the excess energy that is produced by the solar panels during the day. This then can be used to power the property throughout the evening eliminating reliance on energy from the grid. The Puredrive Battery System used is modular and additional batteries can be added with up to 25kW of storage.
Inverter Connection
The inverter is installed with an AC and DC isolator and in this particular case also has been wired to provide energy to a backup (or Essential Services) Distribution Board, in the event of a supply failure this board will continue to power all the customer’s lights throughout the house, socket outlets in the utility room for a kettle/microwave etc and even keep the central heating running, all from the solar panels and battery
